FAQs

What are your opening times?

We are open Monday 3-10; Tuesday - Saturday 12-10; Sunday 12-9. We call last orders about 30 minutes before the pub closes.

Our opening hours can be found in the “Find Us” section of our website, on Facebook, and on google.

If we are closed for a fixed period of time (such as planned holiday) we will update social media and our website in advance with these changes.

Any last minute changes will be posted to our Facebook, Instagram & Twitter, and in the header on the opening page of our website.

Do you serve food?

Yes we do! We have a tiny kitchen in which we make homemade pizzas. You can see our menu on our website!

The kitchen opening hours are: Monday closed; Tuesday 3-9; Wednesday - Saturday 12-9; Sunday 12-5.

On the second Wednesday of every month we have “Wing Wednesday” - all you can eat chicken wings for £10 per person.

When the kitchen is not open, you may bring in your own food, but kindly ask that you do not do so when our kitchen is operating.

Do you just serve beer?

Nope. Beer is at the heart of what we do here at Olaf’s, but we are equal opportunity imbibers. Alongside the beers, we also offer a range of ciders, spirits and soft drinks, as well as an eclectic wine selection that changes on a regular basis.

Do you serve lager?

YES! We love lager - it’s a truly classic beer style! We keep a lager from Unity on keg permanently, and we always have a range of lagers in cans available.

Can I book a table?

We do not take reservations. All tables are on a first come, first serve basis. We can get busy and it is a very small pub, so we cannot always guarantee a seat, but we will always try to find somewhere for everyone! Pull up a seat with a stranger and make a new friend!

Can I bring my children?

Unfortunately our license does not allow us to permit under 18s into Olaf’s Tun. This includes outside seating, and covers all people under the age of 18, including babies.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely, we love dogs! Our own pub dogs, Monty and Alfie, can often be found snoozing in the window.

Can I buy beer to takeaway?

Sure thing. All of our cask ales, keg beers and draft ciders are available to takeaway in 2 pint containers. Additionally, for keg products, we can package them into 440ml cans. We also have a wide selection of cans and bottles that can be purchased to take away.

Cans and bottles can also be bought on our online shop for collection.

Do you deliver beer?

We are not currently offering a delivery service. We know many of you enjoyed deliveries during lockdown, but between running the pub AND increasing fuel prices, it is currently not feasible for us to offer beer deliveries.

If you are planning a large party and are looking to order a large quantity of beer, we may be able to offer delivery on a case by case basis - please get in touch with us to organise this.

We do offer national shipping, so if you live further afield, or are looking to send beer to a friend, this is something we can help you with. Shipping is £6.95 to mainland UK (or free when you spend over £60) and will be available to select on checkout on our online shop.

We are unable to ship internationally.

Can I hire the venue?

No, we do not offer private hire of Olaf’s Tun.

Do you have live music?

Currently, no. Due to the size of the pub and how busy it can get, we are currently unable to accommodate live music.
