On Sunday 4th April we held a Easter Egg Hunt in Woolston to bring a bit of brightness to people's lockdown lives.
The Olaf's Tun Easter Bunny (aka Rob) hid 30 cans around Pear Tree Green and Fremantle Common, each of which had a number on that corresponded to a prize - some of the prizes were delicious Easter eggs, but we also had some great beery prizes very generously donated by local breweries Unity, Flack Manor, Fallen Acorn, Itchen Valley, Vibrant Forest & Bowman. One lucky hunter also came away with a £50 voucher to use here at Olaf's when we are able to open again.
As suggested by some locals, we also used the event to encourage families to get involved in some litter picking, to help keep our green areas clean! Kids could bring a bag of litter to us and exchange it for a creme egg or some sweets. You really ran with this, and we were thrilled with the amount of litter that was picked up!
We hope that everyone who got involved had a good time, and, fingers crossed, we can make this an annual event!
