If you've never heard of Steam Town Brew Co before...where have you been? Established in Eastleigh in 2017 by David Mackie, formerly Head Brewer at Flower Pots Brewery, Steam Town quickly cemented themselves into Southampton's beer scene, with their combination of traditional ales and modern craft beers.
Some of you local beer fans may remember a beer launched by Steam Town towards the end of 2019 - a double dry hopped (or DDH, if you will) IPA, heavily hopped with US imports Amarillo, Simcoe and Chinook.
Well, this year, Blisterin' The Sun is back, and she's bigger than ever, coming in at 7%. 2021's edition is a juiced up version of it's predecessor, that's been double dry hopped with Idaho 7 and Citra Cryo Hops. Expect tropical flavours with pine on the nose, and a smooth, creamy body thanks to the addition of oats. The low bitterness makes this an almost too easy drinker, given the ABV, and we think this is one you'll really enjoy, especially if you're into your NEIPAs.
On Friday 29th January, we'll be bringing you an Olaf's exclusive - this amazing beer on cask for just £7 for 2 pints! We'll also be pouring into 440ml cans, if that's more your thing. We've only got a very small amount, so get in their fast if you want to ensure your Friday night juice bomb!
Blisterin' The Sun is available to order on our online store now, for delivery on Friday morning.
